Sample of the Script:
Narrator: (Enter man and woman) Once upon a time, a man and a woman lived together in a house in the forest. They were lonely because they had no children. One day the woman said:
Woman: I will bake a lovely gingerbread man.
Man: It will be like having a boy of our own!
Narrator: The woman mixed the ingredients together. She used milk, flour, butter, sugar,
and ginger, to make a dough. Then she rolled out the dough with her rolling pin. She cut out the shape of a boy. She gave him chocolate drops for eyes and a smiling mouth made of pink sugar.Then she put him in the oven to bake. A little later, she opened the oven door. What a big surprise! The gingerbread man jumped out of the oven all by himself! (Enter Gingerbread Man)
Gingerbread Man (waves to audience) Hello! I’m the gingerbread man!
Man: Hey! Hey! Don’t run away! We want you to stay to tea!
Gingerbread Man: Hey hey hey! I will not stay! I might be eaten you see!
Narrator: So the gingerbread man ran away. The man and the woman tried to chase him.
Gingerbread Man: Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!
Narrator: And the old man and woman could not catch him. (Exit man and woman) The gingerbread man ran across the fields until he met a cow. (Enter Cow) The cow said:
Cow: Stop! Stop! Little gingerbread man! I want to eat you! (End of Script Sample)
